Who We Are

Project Promise was created by Erik Wright, the son of a special needs educator, who has had a firsthand glimpse into the under-resourced world of education for nearly two decades.

The idea of Project Promise took form in 2019 when Erik decided to create a post on Facebook offering to provide school supplies to 10 families in need. 10 families quickly turned into over 100 local students within a few days. The glaring need for additional support for our local educators and students left Erik with an obligation to do more. With that, Project Promise was born.

Project Promise is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to providing essential school supplies to underprivileged children, teachers and families in our community to create a foundational launching pad for future educational success.
